I started with video around 2014-2015, using my iPad and eventually upgrading to my mom’s (who is also a photographer) old DSLR. With some friends, I made some stop-motion animations and short films. In 2015, I started my YouTube channel, Saber Films. While I might not use the name much anymore, Saber Films is still a part of me, stemming from my love of Star Wars & Sci-Fi. After teaching myself video editing, sound design, cinematography, & visual effects, I’m working on a feature-length documentary on Kyokushin and writing a feature sci-fi film.

I’ve been shooting film since 2022, when I found a few rolls of film in my attic and a Yashica SLR in a random drawer. In 2023, I built my darkroom in my basement with the help of my father and printed photos for Cornel’s Film Like Vinyl gallery. Later, I acquired a bigger, better enlarger and all the necessary equipment, including a JOBO processor for lab-like quality results. I’ve been shooting consistently ever since.
