BRYCE LUCAS MEDIA

Photo & Video from the Hudson Valley.

I’m an independent filmmaker, photographer, and videographer from New Paltz, NY. I have over 8 years of experience with cameras and have worked with companies like the LRC Group, KARC, Digital-Ad Ninja, and Fighting Spirit Karate. I’ve collected a wide range of image-capturing mechanisms, from 100+-year-old box cameras to a Canon cinema camera. I enjoy analog photography and wet printing in my homemade darkroom.

Personal Photography

My β€œpersonal” photography usually features themes of loneliness or solitude, although not always. My current photo project, Magna Silentia, is about the β€œthe great silence” of photographs. Pretty much all of my photography is shot on 35mm, 120, and 4x5 film, and developed and scanned and/or printed at home.

Portraits

Sometimes on film, sometimes on digital, I love taking pictures of people. Studio portraits are fun to me as well, but getting out into nature is the best way to do it.

Filmmaking

Since getting my cinema camera and starting a documentary on Kyokushin Karate, life has found a way to get in the way of me making films. But I’m actively working on a new short film (Latent) that should be released Summer 2025!
